My dad has sent me two huge boxes of old photos and slides. This one totally flipped my brain. See the girl standing in the middle? With the short hair? It’s my sister, right? WRONG. It’s my mom as a young girl. I completely thought it was Kaylee at first, but then the color scheme didn’t seem right… Crazy.

Landscape through the Lensbaby. The orange flowers are Fiddle necks and the white ones are popcorn. I think I missed the height of the flowers, but it’s still very pretty out in Yokohl Valley.

The Lensbaby is taking some getting used to, but it’s amazing what a little post-processing can do. Exposure off? No problem! Colors dim? Crank up the saturation! Fun times.

Aaaaand, I’m back. Sorry about that. I guess I needed a little break. Rather than try to post a bunch of photos to make up for the 10 days I missed, I’m just going to start where I left off. The longer I didn’t post, the more I didn’t want to because of the anxiety of trying to catch-up. So forget that! My blog, my rules. Hah. The good news: I have a ton of photos to share! Last weekend was a great photo op and I have a lot of cow, country road, & snow photographs.

Let’s start it off with Mr. Crooked Horns. He is a very curious cow that lives along Yokohl Valley Road. As I was walking Brutus the dog, Mr. CH and his friends were trying their hardest to figure Brutus out. Was he a baby cow? Was he a coyote? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? seemed to be written on all of their faces. It was pretty funny.

This is my dad, Patrick. It’s his birthday today. It’s from him that I inherit my love of photography. He was always the one capturing moments through my childhood. It was a little bit difficult to find photos of him, but I managed. Check out my photo album of my Dad. Happy Birthday Daddie! <3

This is Rome. He’s the great dane that lives at the house in Tahoe we stayed at this weekend. He was the biggest dog I’ve ever met. I really like him. So now, I want a great dane. I think they make perfect apartment dogs, right?
